Assemblies, Performances, Class Visits *

Each of these performances feature energetic folktales from around the world and are highly interactive with:

  • call-and-response,

  • rhythm and rhyme,

  • & audience participation.

Each performance lasts 45-60 minutes depending on your needs, and can be performed as public performances, school assemblies, or classroom visits. Assemblies & class visits can be bundled for a 7-8 day residency.

    Celebrate Reading!

    Reading is powerful! Come gather 'round as storyteller Rachael Harrington brings folktales to life that are all about characters who discover that reading, writing, and language are the keys to adventure… and defeating a troll or two. This interactive storytelling performance uses oodles of audience participation to get kids and caregivers actively building a story world together and will leave the chant of "one more story!!" lingering in the air.

    Once Upon a SHEro

    Enter the world of folktales where clever, strong, and bold female characters solve problems and save the day. These interactive folktales will have listeners up on their feet cheering for the heroines who save the day!

    This performance is a the perfect literacy-rich addition to your Women’s History Month celebrations!

    Tree Wishes

    Once upon time, deep in the forest... so begins many a folk and fairy tale. In Tree Wishes, you'll get lost in magical forests full of talking animals, healing plants, and dancing fairies that highlight the importance of trees. You won't want to leave this canopy of magic!

    Draw in close and cozy as we meet the dim winter days with the warmth of storytelling. These folktales bring you on a journey around the world with interactive tales all about light pushing back the dark, heavy things.

    Get ready to light up math learning for young scholars! These energetic and interactive folktales get kids excited about how math concepts are used to solve big problems in enchanting fairytales!

  • Brave Of Heart

    How do we gather courage when we feel afraid? Come lean in and listen to tales of characters who might be small or scared but who ultimately win the day because they are brave of heart. This performance addresses anti-bullying themes.

    A Feast of Stories

    Before you carve the Turkey, come feast on a menu of tales that will fill your heart and tickle your funny bone. Storyteller Rachael Harrington whips up a rollicking Thanksgiving “dinner” featuring traditional tales about friendship, gratitude, and our favorite harvest time foods.

    Love(ly) Stories

    Roses are red, violets are blue, storytelling is happening and we invite you! Gather with your neighbors for a storytelling concert that celebrates the Valentine season with tales of love and friendship. In these traditional tales told by storyteller Rachael Harrington, you’ll meet fools in love, unlikely friends, and caring kin that will bring all the feels to your heart.

    Waking Up!

    The first touches of spring are in the air and you’ve almost made it through the long, cold winter! Come celebrate with a storytelling concert all about spring and the joy that it brings. Storyteller Rachael Harrington will take you on a journey through budding meadows to meet characters waking up from their long winter naps, emerging from their cocoons, and waking up to a sense of newness in their lives.
